Brazilian acoustic and electric bassist, composer, arranger and producer from São Paulo.

He celebrates more than four decades dedicated to music, seventeen of which were spent living and working between Europe and the United States.

During his five years in New York City (until 1997), he performed alongside distinguished artists such as Paquito D’Rivera, Lionel Hampton, Cláudio Roditi, Manfredo Fest and Leny Andrade. He also recorded with Gerry Mulligan & Jane Duboc, Naná Vasconcelos and Dom Salvador, among others, further expanding his presence in the international jazz and Brazilian music scenes.

As a bandleader and producer, he has released seven albums: Crescendo (USA, 1996), Aprendiz (2000), Prazer da Espera (2005), Tudo por um Ocaso (Spain, 2009), Sobre o Silêncio (2012), Por um Triz (2020) and Sem Palavras (2024). His work reflects a refined musical language that bridges Brazilian traditions with contemporary jazz and chamber influences.

In 1989, while in Rome, he appeared as an extra in The Godfather Part III, performing on double bass.

He composes for film, dance, chamber ensembles and orchestras, as well as for small jazz and contemporary groups. Currently based in São Paulo, he performs his original music in diverse formats and has been presenting his Brazilian Music Workshop across Europe for more than 20 years, collaborating with music institutions and students of all instruments.

He completed advanced music studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz (Austria), Berklee College of Music (USA), and UNICAMP (Brazil).
